Recording Videos

To ensure each video consists of one swing, SwingJury has implemented a 15MB upload limit. Below are the standard resolutions for most digital cameras available today.

  1. 640 x 480 – 30 or 15 FPS (frames per second)
  2. 320 x 240 – 30 or 15 FPS (frames per second)

SwingJury recommends that you try to record all videos at 640 x 480 at 30 FPS. Although recording at this setting may produce a file that is over the upload size limit, you can easily edit and save the file to a .wmv file (Windows Media File). SwingJury recommends downloading and utilizing Microsoft's free "Windows Movie Maker" to perform the above functions. You can download this software at the below links.

If you are receiving an error with your upload, you might want to make sure you are attempting to upload a file that is recognized by SwingJury. SwingJury accepts video files from most digital cameras and camcorders, and cell phones in the .AVI, .MOV, .WMV, and .MPG file formats.

SwingJury recommends you shoot videos a both the practice range and the course. Don’t limit your recordings to just your long game either. Make sure you record your all aspects of your short game. You’ll be surprised how different your address and tempo are when you see your short game on video. See our most recommended camera positions.
